2022 was a very quiet year on the blogging front - sorry!

Despite this, I worked on a series of paintings inspired by the poem Sea Fever by John Masefield, in memory of my friend's father who had recently passed away. Many of these are now available at Resipole Studios (Ardnamurchan) and The Atelier Gallery (Edinburgh).

I am currently exhibiting in two exhibitions as well as in my usual galleries. The exhibitions are The Scottish Show at Iona House Gallery in Woodstock (until 21st November) and the Impressions of Dumfries and Galloway at McGill Duncan Gallery in Castle Douglas, open throughout the winter.

Below is "Criffel from Bothel, Mid Summer". I cycled past the field as they were baling at the end of July, and felt compelled to capture the bright colours of the view over the fields to the Solway and beyond to Dumfries and Galloway.

I'm excited to announce that I'm holding a solo exhibition, Beyond Lakeland from 12th April to 12th June 2021 at Brantwood, John Ruskin's house on the shores of Coniston Water in the English Lake District. I aim to showcase the wild, less well known scenery of the northern fringes of Cumbria, beyond the tourist honeypots.

Click here for more details of the exhibition, and see here on my website for details of what I'll be exhibiting.

Please drop in, I'd love to see you. The exhibition's open from 10:30am - 5pm daily to everyone with a Garden Ticket, but if you'd like to make sure that I'll be around please get in touch. You can find my contact details here.
